The Kannad Integra 406 GPS AF ELT is a certified automatic fixed emergency locator transmitter designed to transmit distress signals on 406 MHz with integrated GPS position data. In the event of an accident or severe impact, the ELT automatically activates and broadcasts the aircraft’s identification and precise location to international search and rescue systems.
By incorporating an internal GPS receiver, the Integra 406 GPS AF significantly improves rescue response times by transmitting accurate position information with the initial distress alert. In addition to 406 MHz transmission via the Cospas-Sarsat satellite network, the ELT also transmits a homing signal on 121.5 MHz to support local search operations.
The unit is intended for permanent installation in certified aircraft and is commonly used in both new installations and ELT upgrades to meet current regulatory requirements. Manufactured by Kannad Aviation, the Integra 406 GPS AF is installed in accordance with approved aircraft data and manufacturer instructions, providing a reliable and compliant emergency signaling solution.
