The True Blue Power TC280 AC-to-DC Converter is designed to supply reliable 28 VDC power from an aircraft’s 115 VAC electrical system. Rated at 280 watts, the TC280 provides sufficient output to support a wide range of onboard electronic equipment, including cockpit avionics, cabin power modules, and in-seat power applications.
The TC280 features a fan-less, convection-cooled design that runs cool and eliminates the need for forced-air cooling. This design improves reliability while allowing flexible installation locations, including the cabin floor, cabin sidewall, or outside the pressure vessel.
High conversion efficiency of approximately 88% helps reduce heat generation and electrical load on the aircraft system. The unit includes comprehensive protection features such as input transient protection, overload and short-circuit protection, and internal temperature monitoring. A remote on/off control input allows the converter to be managed by aircraft power logic or switches.
