Trig TY91 (6W) is a compact, panel-saving VHF COM radio certified to FAA TSO and EASA ETSO standards. Supporting 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz channel spacing, it features Dual Watch, a built-in two-place intercom, and Trig’s unique ‘Push Step’ frequency selection for fast, intuitive tuning.
The TY91 operates on 11–33V DC (suitable for 14V and 28V aircraft systems) and is ideal for GA aircraft where panel space and installation depth are limited.

GPS / EFIS Compatibility
The TY91 can integrate with compatible GPS navigators to automatically display en-route radio frequencies. Control of the radio via an EFIS display is also possible using industry-standard SL40 and GTR225 protocols, enabling flexible integration with other avionics.
Installation-Friendly Design
The TY91 uses a panel-mounted control head with a separate remote-mounted radio unit, providing additional installation options where panel depth is limited. The control head can be mounted in a 57 mm (2¼”) round hole, and the installed depth of the control head is approximately 74 mm (3”).
Push Step & Dual Watch
The display shows both active and standby frequencies. The ‘Push Step’ knob allows quick switching between 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz spacing, while Dual Watch lets you monitor two frequencies at the same time.
Intercom & Audio
The built-in two-place intercom is designed for use with standard aviation headsets. The system can also drive an external speaker via the internal audio amplifier (often used in glider installations). If using a dynamic microphone, an amplified adaptor may be required (see installation manual).
