The Brackett BA-4005 Air Filter Element is the replacement filter element designed specifically for the Brackett BA-4010 aircraft induction air filter assembly.
Manufactured from lightweight polyurethane foam, the BA-4005 uses Brackett’s wetted-element design to efficiently capture dust and airborne contaminants while maintaining low restriction to engine induction airflow.
The element provides approximately 98% filtration efficiency and receives a fire-retardant treatment for aircraft induction applications.
The BA-4005 is designed as a disposable replacement element rather than a washable filter. Under normal operating conditions, Brackett specifies replacement after 100 operating hours or 12 months, or earlier when approximately 50% of the element surface is covered with foreign material.
The BA-4010 / BA-4005 system is approved for selected Commander Gran Turismo aircraft, including the 112TC, 112TC-A, 114 and 114A.
