AeroShell Oil W100

AeroShell Oil W100 is a single-grade SAE 50 ashless dispersant aviation engine oil developed for use in certified four-stroke piston aircraft engines.

Its ashless dispersant additive system helps keep contaminants and combustion by-products suspended in the oil, reducing deposit formation and supporting engine cleanliness during normal operation.

AeroShell W100 is widely used in Lycoming and Continental horizontally opposed aircraft engines and is also suitable for many fuel-injected and turbocharged applications where an SAE 50 ashless dispersant oil meeting SAE J1899 is specified.

Designed primarily for moderate ambient temperatures, AeroShell W100 provides dependable lubrication and viscosity stability during warm-weather operation. Shell lists an optimum ambient temperature range of approximately 16°C to 32°C (60.8°F to 89.6°F).

AeroShell W100 is an ashless dispersant operational oil and should not be confused with AeroShell Oil 100, which is primarily intended as a straight mineral break-in oil.
