Brackett BA-24 Air Filter Element for BA-111
The Brackett BA-24 Air Filter Element is the replacement filter element designed specifically for the Brackett BA-111 aircraft engine induction air filter assembly.
Manufactured from lightweight polyurethane foam, the BA-24 element uses Brackett’s wetted filter design to efficiently capture dust and airborne contaminants while maintaining low restriction to engine induction airflow.
Brackett rates the treated element at approximately 98% filtration efficiency. The element also receives a fire-retardant treatment for use in aircraft engine induction applications.
Unlike washable automotive-style filters, the BA-24 is designed as an economical replaceable element. Brackett specifies replacement after 200 hours of operation or 12 months, or earlier when approximately 50% of the element surface is covered with foreign material.
For aircraft already equipped with an approved BA-111 assembly, replacing the BA-24 element provides a straightforward way to maintain the filtration performance of the induction system without replacing the complete filter assembly.

Maintenance & Replacement
Under normal operating conditions, Brackett recommends replacing the BA-24 filter element after:
200 operating hours or 12 months, whichever occurs first.
In severely dusty conditions, the filter should be inspected more frequently and replaced when approximately 50% of the element surface is covered with foreign material.
Important
Do not wash and reuse the BA-24 element.
The BA-24 is designed as a disposable replacement filter element. Always follow the applicable aircraft maintenance instructions and Brackett continued-airworthiness requirements.
